of ALL newly licensed rehabs in California! (15 newly licensed rehabs in Newport,
while a total of 52 were issued statewide from Aug. 2005 to Dec. 2006)
That means 29% of all newly licensed rehab homes in California were issued in
NEWPORT BEACH. 29%!!

contains 18% of all rehabs in the county! (24 licensed homes in Newport, while
there are 136 countywide)

EXPLOSIVE GROWTH OF REHABS IN NEWPORT
In November 2003, there were only FIVE state-licensed rehab houses (see 2003
list) in Newport Beach. As of April 2007, there were TWENTY-FOUR (and
growing!). The number didn't just double or triple. NO! This is an explosive FIVE
TIMES the number since late 2003.

ANY wonder why hundreds of Newport citizens are alarmed,
dismayed and angered by the City's response to our ACTIVE
concerns over the past FOUR YEARS? [some residents have been
complaining since 1990!]
