ADDICTION = HANDICAP
Rehab operators (and the cities that love & protect them) try to hide behind laws
protecting 'the handicapped'. Alcohol and drug addiction is considered a
'handicap'. Sooooo, rehab operators and their very expensive team of lawyers, try
to claim that ALL rehab homes are protected by handicapped law, and claim that
cities cannot regulate them! FALSE!
Since rehab operators try to claim 'handicapped-status', ASK THEM:
- Where are the 'handicapped' parking space(s) on their sites?
- Where are the 'handicapped accessible' doorways, ramps, elevators
to the properties?
There aren't any!
INSIST THAT YOUR CITY REQUIRE ALL REHABS TO COMPLY WITH ALL
APPLICABLE CITY REQUIREMENTS, AND STOP HIDING BEHIND CLAIMS OF
'HANDICAPPED EXEMPTION'. THERE IS NO EXEMPTION!! WHOLESALE
VIOLATIONS OF CITY ZONING IS WRONG!
